It is our pleasure to welcome all of you to Trinity’ s Early Childhood Center and especially to the Pre-K program. The faculty is most excited to work with you as well as your children in this very special time in their growing years.
Jesus’ Time:
As we are welcoming your children to our class we meet our best friend, Jesus, welcoming all children and their Moms and Dads as well.Our Lord’s words: Let the little children come to Me-can be found in Mark 10:14.
Social Studies:
- Safety-as we are learning our classroom routines we are learning how to move safely in our classroom and in the hall. We are learning to be safe on the playground. We will be practicing our fire drills.
- Manners-in center time we are learning to cooperate in a small group. We are working on taking turns and raising our hands.
- We have the PLAYGROUND BOOK; Eric Carle’s WILL YOU BE MY FRIEND; and CURIOUS GEORGE GOES TO SCHOOL.
Math/Science/Etc.
Red-Dark red, pink, and red! We have read THE RED BOOK and WHO SAID RED?
We have reviewed the circle and the number one (1).
Music and Art
Our fundamental movements and gross motor skills have provided us with a lot of fun: walking, jumping, hopping, etc.
Painting with the three shades of red has been fun, too!
We can’t wait until next week. Coming up will be using the Smart Table and learning about a man named Johnny Appleseed.
