Open Position: Spanish Teacher

 

Trinity Lutheran School in Hicksville NY, seeks a dynamic and caring K to 8 Spanish teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Spanish language skills need to be developed with students in the areas of reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Elementary grades meet once a week and middle school students meet 4 to 5 days a week.  8th graders will need preparation throughout the year for the FLACS exam in June. Ultimately, it is expected that the Language teacher will work collaboratively with the elementary and middle school team, the entire school staff, and the administration to further the mission and ministry of Trinity within the school and in the wider community.  Additional hours teaching technology classes are also available if interested.   

Qualifications:

  • BA in Education (MA Preferred)
  • Evidence of a passion for the Spanish language
  • Experience which demonstrates skills in collaboration, effective communication, and

excellence in writing.

  • A passion for the comprehensive development and well-being of students in grades K to 8.
  • Knowledge in differentiating instruction

Substitute Teacher Opportunities

Trinity Lutheran School is looking for substitute teachers for all Early childhood – 8th grade. Candidates should have a minimum of a BA degree and some previous experience working with children ages 3 through 14.
