We are off to a good start…Here’s what’s going on this week…
Math: Ch. 1 Whole NUmbers, Expressions, and Volume. Quiz Sept 20. Test Sept 21
ELA: We are reading Wonder. This is a well written book about friendship and looking at what’s inside people, rather than judging. Our spelling words come from the book. Spelling test Fri. Sept 16. Our writing this week will be responses to the book.
We will begin using our grammar and vocabulary books this week.
SS: We are working on growth mindset.
Science: We will view a few short Mystery Science videos to get warmed up. We are going to learn about the Scientific Method and complete an activity to practice the steps involved.
Religion: We are looking at character traits that please God–what they are and what the Bible says about them. We will discuss 6 traits in detail. This week will be responsibility and respect.

We are not changing for gym until sometime in Oct. More info. will be coming.
Please send in a refillable water bottle each to day.
If you have not done so, please send in a recorder for music class.
As it gets chilly, please remember that uniform sweaters, not regular sweatshirts, should be worn in class.
Also, please remember the school rule of no cell phones or apple watches.
Please send a fully charged chrome book each day.
