Welcome to our first full week back to school! This week, in all classes, we will be finishing up our Get to Know You activities.
We will also have our benchmark ELA test Tuesday and Wednesday. These tests will not count as a grade, but rather will be used as a tool to access where each student needs help. It will consist of vocabulary words from last year as review, reading comprehension passages and multiple choice questions and an essay. More time will be allowed if necessary.
Once that is complete, we will begin our short unit on Literary terms. The first term we will explore/review will be Characterization. We will read a short story and then analyze the characters we encounter to examine character traits that apply.
