Dear Parents,
Happy Memorial Day! We hope you are enjoying the long weekend and the unofficial start to summer!
Last week we started our unit on Sea Life. We will continue talking about sea animals this week, specifically the octopus and the whale. We are finished with the alphabet and our letter book. We will use the remaining weeks of school to practice writing our letters and the sounds they make. I am leading chapel this week and will talk about Ascension Thursday. We will learn about Jesus going to heaven to be with God.
I will start testing this week in preparation of progress reports for each child. Progress reports will be sent home on the last day of school. Our Moving Up Ceremony is in a few weeks. We will be using the next few weeks to practice for our program. All library books are due on Monday, June 2nd. You can send the outstanding books in at any time this week leading up the the 2nd. We are done with library for the school year.
Friday, May 30th is our Annual Picnic at Theodore Roosevelt Park. We will meet at the park at 10am and enjoy fun activities until 1pm. Please return your permission slip to let us know if you and your child will be attending. Please note that if you and your child do not attend, there is no school at Trinity that day. If it is raining, I will contact you via email and class dojo to let you know if the trip is canceled. If the trip is canceled due to rain, then we will have class that day at Trinity.
