Dear Parents,
We had a great week learning about Easter. We made palm leaves to represent Palm Sunday. The children participated in a parade of Friday singing “Hosanna” to celebrate Jesus’ arrival into Jerusalem, marking the start of Holy Week. We learned about Holy Week and made a cross out of the significant events that make up Holy Week.
We will learn the letter “E” for Easter. The children will learn how to recognize, sound out, and trace the letter “E”. We will have our Easter Program on Tuesday, April 15th at 9am. All students are invited to attend. We will play BINGO, have an Easter Egg Hunt, take pictures with the Easter Bunny, and enjoy yummy snacks. Wednesday is the last day of school and we begin Easter Break on Thursday the 16th. School resumes on Monday, April 28th. On Wednesday, we will have an Easter party in class.
Pastor Rethinasamy will lead chapel for us on Wednesday. We will continue to learn that Jesus died on Good Friday and rose again on Easter day.
