Hello Parents! I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful spring weather we have been having. Fingers crossed it’s here to stay! Please continue to complete the daily attestations each morning.
We are finishing up theme 7 and starting the last unit 4 called “The Seasons”. BIG Idea: I notice how the seasons change. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about the seasons and how they change. Social-Emotional focus: Curiosity. The theme vocabulary words include: branches, fall, leaf, season, spring, summer, winter and twigs. Math vocabulary words include: pattern and repeat.
We will continue to review the alphabet, numbers 1-20, shapes and colors. We will be reading the books “The Apple Pie Tree”, “What Makes the Seasons?” and “Look, Listen and Learn”.
We will start talking and learning about ladybugs this week as well as keep a close eye on our growing plants. We will discuss the different life cycles of each.
For Jesus time, we will begin to learn and recite The Lord’s Prayer as well as discuss the theme Jesus Knows My Name.
