Hello Parents! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I can’t believe there is less than 20 days left of school!! We will gradually begin sending home items that are not being used. Please send in a large shopping bag at your earliest connivence. 

Reminder – This is a three day week! There is a staff professional development day on Thursday 5/23 and there will be no school for the children. There will also be no school Friday 5/24 and Monday 5/27 due to Memorial Day Weekend.

  • Pre-K Graduation and Last Day of School – June 11th (more details to come)

We are continuing Theme 8 and starting Unit 2 “Trying New Things”. BIG Idea: I feel comfortable trying new things. Knowledge Focus: Children reflect on all the ways they have grown and changed during the year. Social-Emotional Focus: Persistence. The theme vocabulary words include: challenge, encourage and try. Math vocabulary words include: pattern and repeats.

We will continue to review letters A-Z, numbers 1-20, shapes, colors, counting by 10’s and continue to learn new sight words! We will be reading the books “Giraffes Can’t Dance”, “Dot the Fire Dog”, “Little Bat” and “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”.

We will be celebrating Heritage Day on Wednesday, 5/22! Please reply on our Classdojo with treats that represent your heritage! We can’t wait to share this special day.

We will be discussing Bees and backyard critters this week as well!

For Jesus Time, Mrs. Maldonado will discuss the story of Noah’s Arc. We will continue to pray before snack and lunch. We will also continue to practice our Graduation songs. Stay tuned on our Classdojo for important updates/information!
