Hello Parent! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! This will be a short week due to Memorial Day weekend! As of tomorrow, there is officially 16 days left of this school year. It is jam packed with fun and celebrations so please keep an eye out on our Classdojo for important updates.

We are now starting our last theme, Theme 8 Unit 1 “Going New Places”. BIG Idea: I am ready to go to new places. Knowledge Focus: Children reflect on all the ways they have grown and changed during the year. Social-Emotional Focus: Persistence. The theme vocabulary words include: travel, trip and visit. Math vocabulary words include: behind, left, position and right.
We will continue to review letters A-Z, sight words “it”, numbers 1-20, shapes, colors and counting by 10’s! We will be reading the books “In Our Country”, “We’re Going on a Lion Hunt”, “Can You Say Peace?” and “You and Me Together”. We will be keeping a close eye on our butterflies as they grow! Hopefully we will be able to release them this week! Lastly, will be learning all about ladybugs!
This Wednesday is our cultural day which is Mrs. Maldonado and I’d favorite celebration! We ask that each child send in a special food treat to allow their classmates to taste a part of their culture. This is a great way to learn about one another and try new things. A sign up is posted on our Classdojo. Please reply there!
Practicing our for Graduation is in full swing! Keep an eye out for further details regarding out program.
For Jesus Time, Mrs. Maldonado will discuss how Jesus promises to be with us all. We will continue to sing our Jesus time songs and pray before snack and lunch.
