Hello Parents! I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather this weekend and is ready for a “summer” weather week! Please continue to complete the daily attestations each morning.
We are continuing with our last theme of the year, theme 8 and starting unit 2 called “Trying New Things”. BIG Idea: I feel comfortable trying new things. Knowledge Focus: Children reflect on all the ways they have grown and changed during the year. Social-Emotional focus:Â Persistence. The theme vocabulary words include: challenge, encourage and try. Math vocabulary words include: pattern and repeats.
We will continue to review the alphabet, numbers 1-20, shapes and colors. We will be reading the books “Giraffes Can’t Dance”, “Little Bat” and “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom”.
We will start talking about dinosaurs this week! We will also read the Scholastic Weekly reader “Hooray for Helmets!”
For Jesus time, we will continue to recite The Lord’s Prayer at snack and lunch time as well as continue to practice our graduation songs.
As of last week, we started to learn some sight words! There will be worksheets that will be sent home after each completed sight word. These are just for more practice with your child. They are not apart of the homework packet and are optional.
