Hello Parents! I can’t believe it is already May! Hopefully we are with the gloomy weather and will start to see some consistent sunshine!
Important Dates and Reminders –

- Staff Professional Development Day – May 25th, no school for students
- ECC Annual Family Picnic – June 2nd, rain date of June 9th (more details to come)
- Pre-K Graduation and Last Day of School – June 13th (more details to come in the following month)
We are continuing with Theme 7 and starting unit 3 “Our Weather”. BIG Idea: The weather affects what I wear and do each day. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about their environment by investigating characteristics of the natural world. Social-Emotional Focus: Curiosity. The theme vocabulary words include: clouds, cloudy, rainy, sunny, weather and windy. Math vocabulary words include: measure, temperature and thermometer.
We are officially finished with the alphabet! We will begin to review letters A-Z, numbers 1-20, shapes and colors. We will continue to learn how to count by 10’s and do our weekly journal on Friday’s. We will be reading the books “The Apple Pie Tree”, “What Will The Weather Be?”, “What Makes The Seasons?”, “Look, Listen and Learn” and “Weather”.
We will be starting to create our Mother’s Day crafts and they will be sent home the following week. We will also be celebrating Cinco De Mayo on Friday by making noise makers! Please keep an eye on our ClassDojo for any upcoming events and important news.
For Jesus Time, Mrs, Gonzalez will discuss the story of Timothy. We will continue to sing our Jesus time songs and pray before snack and lunch. We will also start practicing our graduation songs!
