Hello Parents! Please remember this will be a short week! We do not have school on 3/12/21. Also, please continue to complete the daily attestations each morning.
We are starting a new theme! It will be theme 6 “Growing Up Healthy” and starting unit 1 called “My Sense”. BIG Idea: The five senses help me explore my world. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about their bodies and how to take care of themselves. Social-Emotional focus: Self-Awareness. The theme vocabulary words include: hear, see, senses, sight, smell, sound, taste and touch. Math vocabulary words include: oval, rectangle and rhombus.
We will be learning the letter Uu and continue to review numbers 1-20, shapes and colors. We will be reading the books “Look, Listen and Learn” and “My Five Senses”. We will also read “Can You Taste The Rain?” Scholastic weekly reader this week which further explores the 5 senses.
For Jesus time, we will be discussing Zacchateus.
As a class craft, the children will be doing U is for Umbrella for their ABC book.
