Hello Parents! Mrs. Maldonado and I are very excited to see you all for tomorrow’s field trip! The weather looks gloomy but we will still make the most of it. Please check our Classdojo as there are important announcements regarding our trip.
Important Dates and Reminders:
- ECC Aquarium Field Trip – March 31st – after check-in, meet at the sea lion coliseum for the 10:30 show as a class!
- Easter Program – April 14th from 9:00-10:00 am – more details to come!
- Spring Break – April 17th-25th (NO SCHOOL, Easter Recess)
We are finishing Theme 6 “Growing Up Healthy” and starting our last unit 4 “Staying Safe”. BIG Idea: I know what to do to be safe. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about their bodies and how to take care of themselves. Social-Emotional Focus: Self-Awareness. The theme vocabulary words include: accident, caution, danger, emergency, harm, injury and safety. Math vocabulary words include: divide, equal and share.
We will be learning the letter Xx, continuing to review numbers 1-20, shapes, colors, and recap our week in our weekly journals. We will be reading the books “Always Be Safe”, “How Do Dinosaurs Get Well Soon?”, “Please Play Safe!” and “Science Tools!”. We will be working on our Easter crafts in preparation for the upcoming holiday!
For Jesus Time, Mrs. Maldonado will discuss the story of how Jesus heals a blind man. We will also continue learning Lent using our Lent packet.

I will be sending homework packets out on Tuesday which will be due the following Monday when we return from Spring Break.
