Hello Parents!! We had the best time celebrating Read Across America with all of our Dr. Seuss themed days! Thank you so much to all volunteers who sent in special goodies to help us celebrate. We have a jam packed week this week as we prepare for St. Patrick’s Day, our Easter program, and an early Easter.

Important Dates and Reminders:

  • Friday, 3/15 – Green Day! Please dress your child in green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! We will celebrate with special treats! More details will be posted on our Classdojo.
  • Wednesday, 3/20 – Nursery and Pre-K Easter program! More details will be posted on our Classdojo and will be sent home this week.
  • Friday, 3/22 – Professional Development Day – There will be no school for children.
  • Easter Break begins Thursday, 3/28 – Friday, 4/5. 

We are continuing Theme 6 “Growing Up Healthy” and starting unit 2 “Taking Care of Myself”. BIG Idea: I know how to be healthy. Knowledge Focus: Children learn about their bodies and how to take care of themselves. Social-Emotional Focus: Self-Awareness. The theme vocabulary words include: exercise, fitness, healthy, hurt, medicine, nutrition and rest. Math vocabulary words include: less, equal, more and most.

We will be learning the letter Uu, number 20, continue to review shapes and colors, and complete our weekly journal on Friday’s. We will be reading the books “First Aid”, “How Do Dinosaurs Get Well Soon?”, “I Am Sick” and “Eating The Alphabet”. We will continue to finish up our St. Patrick’s Day crafts for the upcoming holiday this Friday.

For Jesus time, Mrs. Maldonado will discuss the story of Martha and Mary. We will continue to work on our Lent packet and continue to recite The Lord’s Prayer.

Art: Thursday from 10:00 – 10:37
