Hi Parents! I can not believe that this is our last full week of school of the year! Christmas is right around the corner and it definitely feels like it with this weather! Mrs. Maldonado and I can’t wait to see you all for our Christmas program Wednesday. Christmas break begins on Saturday 12/21. School will resume on January 6th.

**Our Christmas Program is finally here and we can’t wait to show you how hard we have been practicing over the course of this month. Please  send your child in at our regular time from 8:30-8:45 and wearing their best attire! Our program will begin at 9:30 and last approximately an hour. If you would like to take your child home with you after to celebrate, please let me know as soon as possible. **

We are going to continue getting into the holiday spirit by reading various holiday books such as “The Story of the Nativity”, “The Night Before Christmas” and “The Polar Express”. We will be celebrating the birth of Jesus this Thursday 12/19 with a birthday party! More details will be posted on our Classdojo. This Sunday is the third night of Advent and this upcoming Sunday is the last night of Advent! We will be “lighting” our third and fourth advent candle in school and discussing what Love and Joy means. It reminds us that God is love. Please also “light” your third and fourth candle at home!

For this short week, we will be learning the letter Ll, reviewing numbers 1-10, and reviewing all colors and shapes. We will finish wrapping all of our Christmas presents that will be sent home with your child on Friday. They are presents the children can give to their families. We will recap this fun week in our Weekly Journals on Friday. We will also be enjoying milk, cookies, and a holiday movie in the MPR on Friday with all of ECC! This should be so much fun!

For music and movement, we will continue to dance and sing to festive songs found on GoNoodle.com.

For Jesus time, Mrs. Maldonado will teach the children about the story of the Shepards. We will continue our December prayer which is taken from the last verse in the song Away in a Manger. We will continue to discuss the meaning and importance behind Christmas and why we celebrate.
