We hope everyone had a wonderful Columbus Day weekend and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather!

The nursery classes had the Hicksville Fire Dept. visit on Friday. The students were instructed on fire safety and were shown how to stop, drop and roll. Everyone got  to sit in the big red fire truck and look at all the equipment the fire fighters use to keep us safe. The children even got to hold the fire hose! It was heavy!

This week  is GREEN week! We will wear green on Wednesday and Thursday. We will be mixing the primary colors blue and yellow to make green. Our story is little blue and little yellow by Leo Lionni.

We will use our green creation to make a big green monster  and enjoy  reading the story, Go Away Big Green Monster, by Ed Emberley. We will enjoy a delicious  snack of green grapes and green jello. Classroom discussion will be on green things in the classroom. We will learn another color poem, this time about the color green.

This week we  are making orange pumpkins to hang in the hallway for ECC Parent Night.  ECC Parent Night is this Thursday, October 17th, starting @ 7:30 PM.

During Jesus time we are continuing with creation. We are all so thankful for this wonderful world God has created!
