Hello Parents and Hello October!
We will continue with the first theme, “Ready for School!” and finish up with the final unit called “Getting Along.” The class will focus on the concept of sharing and take into consideration others’ feelings. Children will continue to learn the daily expectations, routines, and behaviors of school. Vocabulary theme words include: cooperate, share and turns. Math words include: less, more and same. Science words include: float and sink.
We will be learning the letter Bb, #4, the color blue and triangle. We will be reading the books “The Little Red Hen”, “My Friends”, How Many Can Play?”, and “Owen”. For Jesus time, we will be continuing to sing the daily songs. We will also continue discussing the theme of Creation and finish working on our Creation booklets.
This week we have Art and Gym class on Wednesday. We will also be reading the “Parts of a Pumpkin” Scholastic Weekly Reader. We will continue discussing all things Autumn and begin the unit on farm animals.
I will be sending home homework packets on Monday which will be due the following Monday.
