Hello, everyone! As usual, there are many updates for this week.
8th Social Studies
This week we will continue to study how the United States became known as a “super power.” We will be concluding the Spanish American War and learning how and why the Unites States intervened in Latin America. Throughout this entire unit of study, the students have been reflecting on how well the U.S. has or has not followed the advice of George Washington.
8th Math: Pre-Algebra
Last week, the students began to work with equations that had a variable on both sides of the equation. While the new topic was a bit of a challenge, the students rose to the occasion and worked to master this new skill. This week, we will continue to apply this new skill, but fractions and decimals will also enter the equation.
8th Religion
As a reminder, the project requirements were distributed last Monday, and due to the nature of the document, I cannot upload a link to the assignment. However, if you have any questions, feel free to email me and I will get back to you. On Friday of last week, we concluded Unit 3. This Friday, March 6th the students will take their Unit 3 quiz. You may see the study guide here.
