Greetings! As usual there are many things going on this week at Trinity:
* If you have not returned your child’s response for the Christmas trip to Radio City, please do so by Friday.
*Your child’s selection for the Thanksgiving feast also needs to be returned ASAP.
*This year the 8th grade has been asked to contribute boxes of powdered milk or cartons of Parmalat for the annual food drive. If you have the chance to pick up either item, please send them in with your child this week.
*Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled for Thursday. I look forward to meeting with each of you!
8th Social Studies
The students will be taking the Chapter 17 test on Friday, the 21st. We will be reviewing in class and you may find the study guide here.
8th Math
This week the students will be finishing Module 3. For the first part of the week, they will be learning how to calculate the slope of a line and how to graph proportions. There will be a Module 3 quiz Monday, November 25th. On a related note, my scheduled extra help time is Thursday mornings at 7:45, but I am more than willing to meet with students for extra help as needed.
8th Religion
This week the students will be learning about the Ark of the Covenant and the Tabernacle and these ancient items and traditions compare to our modern churches and worship services. There are far more similarities than one would generally assume! The memory verse for this week is Psalm 122:1, which can be be found on page 39 in the student book.
