Just a few quick updates this week:
– Washington Trip papers are due no later than February 13th.
– Friday we will have a charity Bingo game; the suggested donation is $3. As this is National Lutheran Schools Week, the proceeds will go to the Lutheran Schools Association, which works to build the educational opportunities for students in Lutheran schools in the New York area.
8th Social Studies
This week the students are finishing Chapter 19, The Progressive Era. The test will be next Thursday. More information will be posted in next week’s notes. I hope all of you were able to see the pictures on the Trinity Facebook page from the election project the students did last week. They really did an excellent job- the facts were correct and they were all very creative presentations.
8th Math
The students will begin Module 6, Functions. This will further build upon the skills they have already learned- the linear equation, solving for variables, and so on.
8th Religion
This week the students are looking at the life of Samuel, who actually began serving God as a child, and served as the last Judge of Israel. The memory verse for this week is 1 Peter 2:9, which can be found on page 63 of the student book, or here.
