NJHS News
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to induct 19 new students into the Trinity Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. It marked the recognition of work well done thus far. It is my hope that these students will be an inspiration to others and they will go forward into the world to even greater achievements. Membership in the Trinity chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is earned by effective demonstration of the five qualities held in high esteem by the Society. These qualities are scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship.
The National Junior Honor Society sponsors service projects each month that will give back to those in the community who are in need. For the month of May, we will be raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Here’s how you can help.
On Monday, May 11th, each student will receive his or her own box for collecting spare change. Change can come from anywhere. Ex) from friends, relatives, couch cushions, or in pockets of pants and jackets. This box will be kept at home and each student will try his or her best to fill it. On May 29th, please return the boxes to school and the National Junior Honor Society will take care of counting all the donations. Thank you so much for your support!
