Trinity Lutheran School is blessed to not only nurture our students’ spiritual and academic growth, but we also give our students the opportunity to pursue athletic and cultural interests, which will give them a more well-rounded educational experience. Many of our eighth grade students are preparing for Algebra and Earth science Regents exams, while balancing the responsibilities of a typical eighth grade schedule, and excelling in their academic progress. In addition to the academics, our students have many events and trips with which they are involved. Most are not only members of the many after-school clubs offered, but they are also on sports teams, are musicians, and are part of the upcoming production of Peter Pan Jr. This week the students of eighth grade will travel to Washington, D.C., and in the next month there will also be a Language Arts/Social Studies field trip and a trip to Molloy for a Spanish cultural event. These experiences not only give our students a well-rounded education, but also provide our graduates with a solid foundation to carry throughout their years of education and fond memories that they will look back upon for many years to come.
Mrs. Skoch – 8th Grade
Dear Parents,
During this past February recess from school, Trinity hosted its first ever Winter Mini-Program. This event
was such a great success we are going to offer it again during the Easter Break from April 6th – 10th.
The program would be similar to our Celebrate Summer program which has been tremendously
successful. Our goals are simple: children will have fun, make new friendships, and try new things in a safe and
caring environment. A typical day might include planting in the Community Garden, Art & Crafts , making
kites, science experiments, a specialty class, fun with food, sports activities, and organized games. This is a
great option for working parents or for families looking for an active day of fun and entertaining supervised
play.
The Program is open to our Trinity students as well as other students in the community in Nursery
through Grade 5. If you or someone you know may be interested, please register early as space is limited!
Call the office for more information. Deadline is March 27th. Please see attached flyer.
Transportation for your child for the 2015-2016 school year is due to your school district on April 1. School districts will not take any requests for transportation after this date so make sure you have your forms from your district and return them by April 1.
Middle School Dance
The winter just won’t go away! Unfortunately, we had to cancel the Middle School Dance Friday. We are looking at a new date to hold the dance. As soon as we get a date, we will let you know.
Mom’s Bible Study
