All of the children started to settle in, nicely, to being in school last week.  Each day is a little happier and a little more routine.  We are all looking forward to a very exciting year together!

Last week, we learned about school rules and “Aa is for apples.”  This week we will discover, “Mm is for me!”  We will learn more about ourselves as we explore ourselves, our families, our five senses and our feelings.  We will read stories about our bodies and our feelings.  We will count our body parts.  Our art projects will include decorating a mirror to see ourselves in, and creating art from the first letter of our names.  We will sing songs including, “The Finger Family Song,” “I Am Special” and “This Is a Happy Face.”  We will praise Jesus for making us each special and unique while singing the song, “Jesus Loves Me!”

Tuesday, September 19th is parent – teacher night.  I look forward to seeing everyone there!
