*New Art Contest* To celebrate and honor Earth Day the NY State Senate is sponsoring a poster contest for children in grades K – 6. The theme of the Earth Day celebration is “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.” This contest is optional yet encouraged for all students in Gr. K – 6. Entries should be photographed and submitted electronically, preferably in jpeg or pdf format via www.martins.nysenate.gov. All submissions must be uploaded to the web-site by April 4, 2016. Don’t forget to write Mrs. Kerwin’s name along with the rest of the requested information, on the online registration form. All entries will be displayed on Senator Jack Martins’ website with the winning poster being featured. Participants will also receive a certificate acknowledging their participation. Reminder — All AAA posters for the annual Safety Poster Contest are due to Mrs. Kerwin by next Wednesday, March 9th, so she can hand them in by the deadline.
