When people ask me what I do at Trinity I often laugh, take a deep breath and rattle off a list; K-8 Computers, Music Lessons, Band Rehearsals, Middle School Science, Technology Instructor, Critter Club, Assistant Drama Director, Softball Coach, Youth Group Coordinator, and others that I am surely forgetting. Being able to be involved in so many activities is part of why I enjoy working at Trinity so much. Working with students both in the classroom and outside of it allows me to get to know my students not just as students but as the fantastic young people they are.
Something else that comes to mind when I am asked about my school is family. Trinity truly is one huge family. I love seeing the middle schoolers getting off the bus helping a kindergartener with their book bag, or seeing them share a quick high-five on the way to lunch. There’s no shunning and discrimination between the grades, they all treat each other like family.
Having a sense of family in a school is a wonderful feeling, it allows the students to learn and grow both academically and socially. If we can teach our students how to be a caring and compassionate member of society, their futures will be all the brighter for it.
Looking forward to seeing you all at one of our many events!
