The Toddler Times – “Y is for Yellow Ducks” – Week of March 18th

This week, we will explore the letter Yy.  Y is for yellow ducks.  We will sing the “Five Little Ducks” fingerplay and learn about the life cycle of birds.  We will discuss that ducks lay eggs, like all birds, and decorate various egg craft projects.  We will also count and sort eggs by color.

Our play centers this week include a baby care nursery center (dramatic play), plastic Easter egg play in sensory, block building in the spring colors, playdough play, and various duck, egg and spring crafts in the art center.

Our Jesus Time theme is Spring’s rebirth.  God brings the world back to life in the springtime.  We will notice the changes the season of spring brings and thank God for springtime blessings.  Our worship song is, “Ho Ho Ho Hosanna.”
