Last week we learned a little about turkeys, we discussed what we were thankful for and we prepared for our Thanksgiving feasts.
This week, we celebrate Thanksgiving as a class! We will explore Thanksgiving traditions and, briefly, some history of the first Thanksgiving day. Monday and Tuesday, we will enjoy Thanksgiving feasts as a class. We will enjoy a beautiful table spread with catered food from Chick-fil-a. We will thank God for our many blessings through the songs, “Thank Him, Thank Him” and “Thank Him.”
On Wednesday, we will end our week with a special activity. We will discuss the importance of corn to the early Americans and bake cornbread from scratch. We will conduct the butter making science experiment as we shake cream into butter to spread on our cornbread. Afterwards, we will enjoy the special snack we made ourselves.
Please enjoy a safe and healthy Thanksgiving with your families and enjoy a relaxing break!!!
