March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.  Wind and weather tend to be very tumultuous this time of year as February comes to a close and March begins.

This week, we will explore wind and weather patterns and learn more about letter Kk.  We will learn to identify different weather conditions and understand the concept of wind.  We will experiment with blowing wind through straws and flying kites in the air.  Our stories this week will all incorporate wind and weather and we will sing songs including, “Five Little Kites” and “The Windy Day Dance.”  Our center time play center choices will include a weather reporter station so that the children may explore the concept of wind and weather through dramatic play.

This week, we will also explore the story of Noah’s Ark from the Bible and discuss how God promises to protect and provide for his creation.  Our song of praise this week is “Arky Arky.”
