It was so nice to meet everyone at back to school night.  The children really enjoyed listening to the stories their parents wrote about their families last week.

How do we all get to school?  Most of us will say we use a car to get to school.  This week, we will discover different types of “transportation” and explore a few different vehicles that can be used as transportation.  We will sing the songs, “Wheels On The Bus” and “Driving My Car.”  We will explore geometric shapes as we craft vehicles, and we will count the wheels on the vehicles we create.  Our stories this week will be about cars, buses, trucks, trains and bicycles.  We will also create some creative art works including, “Stamp Paint Cars” on Monday, “Tissue Paper Yellow Bus Collages” on Tuesday, “Crumpled Paper Pick Up Trucks” on Wednesday, “Name Train Art” on Thursday and finally, “Bicycle Wheel Painting” on Friday.  We will get to enjoy playing with wooden trains, toy cars and trucks during playtime.  We will also create tracks in playdough using toy trucks.  We will praise God for vehicles and for all of His great creation through the song, “My God Is So Great.”  It should be a popular and exciting theme for the children to experience this week!
