The fourth grade classes had a terrific time at our first Science Friday event last week.  The students rotated in groups through four different science activities related to our current chapter on the human body.  This was a great way to bring some hands on experiments to the classroom so the students could better understand the systems of the body that we studied.

This week we will be taking different parts of the Terranova exams each day.  In addition, we will be reviewing for next week’s Math and Science exams.

Week of: October 14-18

Spelling: We’ll have a Spelling Bee using all the words we have learned so far this year.

Vocabulary:

Writing Journal Assignment:  Students will be working on their bullying essays in school.

Math: Review for End of Module Assessment

Science: Review of Chapter 5

Social Studies: New York’s First People

Reading: Ongoing free reading in class, reading notebook, conferencing

Language Arts:

Religion: daily devotions

Tests:

  • Terranova Tests Tuesday-Friday

Important News:

  • Math extra help will be given Wednesday morning at 7:45 in our classroom.
  • Students should get a good night’s sleep and eat a good breakfast before school so they come in ready to take their exams.
  • Friday, 10/18, is a non-uniform day and students should come to school dressed in something YELLOW to brighten up our school!
