The September Book Project is due on Wednesday, October 6th.
This week we will begin our vocabulary with unit 1. Most of the homework will be vocabulary this week. We will review the homework in class and have an exam on Friday, Sept.24th.
6th ELA: We will be reading some short stories and work on the exposition. Students will review it and analyze the stories they are reading. The sixth graders will review nouns and correcting sentences.
7th ELA: The students in seventh grade will read short stories and plot the exposition on a graph. We will review nouns and correcting sentences.
8th ELA: The eighth grade is going to begin a unit on Civil War literature. We will begin with an excerpt from Frederick Douglass’ autobiography. We will read Harriet Tubman, The Battle of Shiloh, Oh Captain My Captain, and Pink and Say.
7th Grade Religion: Seventh grade is going to read lesson 3-5 this week. They will have a memory quiz on 2 Timothy 3:16-17 on Thursday.
