Upcoming Assignments: There will be a VOCABULARY test on Friday, Jan. 11. It will be on Unit 7. Much of the homework is vocabulary.

Students should select a book to read for the month of January. Please make sure you sign the book slip that is sent home; this is a homework grade. The book project is due on Wednesday, Feb. 6th.

We will begin to prepare for the mid-terms: Review packets will be sent home sometime this week.

ELA 6th Grade: This week we are going to practice our essay writing skills to prepare for the mid-term. We will begin to review our grammar and vocabulary on the test.

ELA 7th Grade: The seventh graders are going to finish the story “Ribbons” and discuss exposition, plot, theme and symbolism. Students will also work on run on sentences. We will work on an essay to prepare for the mid-term, in addition to grammar and vocabulary.

ELA 8th Grade: Students in eighth grade will explore theme in song lyrics. We will then look at run on sentences before preparing for the mid term.

Religion 7th Grade: There will be a memory test on John 11:25-26 on page 8 in work book. The students will be reviewing the Resurrection and Passion this week.
