There will not be Vocabulary or Spelling Tests this week due to Midterms.
Students in grades 6,7,8 will be given there research paper topics this week. Their choices are due by Friday, Jan. 26. Any student who does not turn in a choice by Friday, will be assigned one by me. Choices will be put on classroom on Monday, Jan. 22.
Remember: January book reports are due Monday, Feb. 12th.
6th Grade: This week we will read two short stories, “The Southpaw” and “Becky, and the Wheels and Brake Boys” We will review conjunctions and run on sentences.
7th Grade: The seventh grade will read the short story, “Two Kinds” and review the elements of a short story, conjunctions and run on sentences.
8th Grade: Students in eighth grade will read “Liverwurst and Roses.” They will review theme, hyperbole and conjunctions.
