September Book Project is due on Wednesday, October 6th.
There will be a test on vocabulary Unit 2 on Friday, October 8th. Much of the homework is vocabulary.
6th Grade ELA: We have been working on how to write a comparative essay and completed one on Friday.
The students were shown how the proper format for typing an essay as well. We are going to do one more comparative essay early this week. We will begin to read Freak the Mighty and explore setting and characterization.
7th Grade ELA: Seventh grade is reviewing how to writing essays. We are going to correctly type the essay using the acceptable format. This week we are beginning the novel, The Witch of Blackbird Pond. This is in conjunction with social studies studies. We will also study setting.
8th Grade ELA: The eighth graders are going to begin the novel, The Outsiders. First we will explore the setting and studying the 1960s.
7th Grade Religion: The students are going to finish Unit 1 in their workbooks. They will have a memory quiz on Mark 12:29:30
