There will be a spelling test on Unit 4 for classes 8AA and 7A on Monday, October 30. All classes will have a vocabulary test on Unit 4 on Friday, Nov. 3rd. Much of the homework will be vocabulary this week.
Please keep in mind that October book projects are due November 8th.
6th Grade: Students will read a story story, “The Stray”. We will review adjectives and adverbs. Students will create a project describing a lost pet using adjectives and adverbs.
7th Grade: Students in seventh grade will read a short story, “Seventh Grade”. We will look at idioms and figurative language in the story and in our daily lives. Students will go over adverbs and adjectives. Students will also create poems using adjectives and adverbs.
8th Grade: The eighth grade will read “Retrieved Reformation.” We will look at irony and surprise endings.
