I am not sure if my blog was posted last week. Here is what we are doing for the month Students are reading a class book together. There is no book project for January.
6th Grade Students are reading The Watsons Go to Birmingham 1963. Great novel full of family love and the Civil Rights Movement.
7th Grade This grade is reading Fever 1793. This is historical fiction. It is set during the malaria epidemic during 1793.
8th Grade The eight graders are reading Inside Out and Back Again. This novel is about Vietnamese refugees and how they settle in the United States and try to assimilate into society.
We will be reading and working on the novel in various activities. Students will have to read at night and will have quizzes.
All classes are reviewing Prepositions.
7th Grade Religion: We will have a memory quiz on Tuesday. The students have begun Unit 4. In this unit we are learning about Jesus as our brother- He was human as well as divine.
