Pre-K visit to the Hicksville Fire Dept. on 10/25/13. We had a great time!
This week in Pre-K we are learning about:
Science – Pumpkins, plants and growth cycles
Social Studies – Finishing up our farm unit and the yearly cycle of farm life
Jesus Time – God gives us friends and family, Joseph and his brothers
Math – Working with number 8 and graphing leaves
Language Arts – Friends at home and school
Literature – Growing Pumpkins by Melvin Berger, Flora’s Blanket by Debi Gliori and It’s Pumpkin Time by Zoe Hall
Art – All kinds of pumpkins
Outdoor Play – We are thankful for weather
Pumpkin parties are this week. We will be making “spiders” to eat and/or counting candy corn.
