Halfway through November already! We continue this month to focus on being thankful. Our Jesus time this week will include stories of Samuel to remind us to be thankful for our schools, and David and Jonathan to remind us to be thankful for our friends. We are also putting together a big thankful turkey in the hallway.
As we get closer to Thanksgiving we will begin learning about Native Americans and Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving.
We will make scarecrows to continue to decorate our hallway and read several scarecrow stories including The Lonely Scarecrow by Tim Preston.
We will review number 10 and the color brown this week.
This week starts a new theme in our curriculum about Our Community. We will learn many new community words, and learn about different people and places in the community. This week we will read Lola at the Library by Anna McQuinn, and A Good Night Walk by Elisha Cooper.
Our math lesson will focus on positional words including near, above, through, and next to.
Have a blessed week!
