In Pre-K this week we are:
Math: Numbers 1, 2 & 3. Shapes- circle, square and triangle. We are graphing favorite apple color.
Language Arts: Coming to School and Hurray for Pre-K. Letters- A is for Alexis and S is for September, Samantha and Stephen. Morning message- Days of the Week.
Science: Weather of the day, season of autumn
Art: Easel painting – red, yellow and green, apples collages, water color apples and our placemats.
Literature: Meet our author- Eric Carle. Will You Be My Friend and Head to Toes– please watch for more of his books throughout the year.
Big Red Apple, Picking Apples, Seasons of Arnold’s Apple Tree and Apple Orchard.
Folklore concept: Johnny Appleseed- Walt Disney, Kathy Jensen, Steven Kellogg, Dave Harrison and Jane Kurtz. A big thank you to Mr. Stainkamp for visiting the Pre-K as Johnny Appleseed. The children really enjoyed the visit and story. The students also watched a video of Johnny Appleseed.

Outdoor Play: Practicing walking in a line and being on the horizontal ladder, slides and swings. We are enjoying the great weather, the deep blue sky and the green grass growing!
Upcoming Event: Green Meadow Farm on Friday, 10/3. Meet at the farm @ 10am.
