Our first week of school is well under way and we couldn’t be happier! This week we are settling into our new routine and learning what it means to be a student. We are learning the rules for school, as well as how to be safe on the playground. Our first story for the year is The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn, a story about little Chester Raccoon who is nervous to go to school until his mommy kisses him on the hand and tells him to carry her kiss with him to make him feel better.

This week we are starting to work on our special place-mats that we will use all year for snack and lunch. Please remember to send in two photos of your child if you have not yet done so, so that we can get our place-mats done.

For Jesus time we are singing some Jesus songs like “God is so Great” and learning that we can talk to God or Jesus any time we need to. We are also learning to pray before snack and lunch.

We have so much planned for the year ahead and we look forward to sharing it all with your special children!

Have a blessed week!
