Well it finally felt like Spring on Monday and we got to go outside and get some fresh air! Boy were we excited!
This week we are preparing for Easter and the Resurrection of Jesus our Lord and Savior. We will be making a palm branch and reading during Jesus time about Jesus riding into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. We will continue with the Last Supper, Jesus death and resurrection, all at an age appropriate level.
For art, we will continue working on our number book which should be completed before Easter Break. We are also making birds and flowers to hang all around our giant nest of Robin eggs in the hallway. It will really feel and look like Spring! We will also be making a mobile that reminds us that “April showers bring May flowers”.
Some of the stories we will read this week will be:My First Book of Nature: How living things grow by Dwight Kuhn, Baby Bird’s First Nest by Frank Asch, Clifford’s Happy Easter by Norman Bridwell, The Best Easter Eggs Ever by Jerry Smath
For movement and music we will do the Alligator Counting Song and The Train Song
Please check the bulletin boards outside the classroom for sign up sheets for our Easter Egg Hunt and Bunny Parties taking place next week. Remember to send in your child’s favorite bunny for our bunny party.
We will be having our egg relay races on Monday and Tuesday to support LSA so please send in your sponsor sheets.
Easter break will start next Thursday the 17th and school will resume Monday April 28th.
