This week we have been busy! We are practicing for our closing program, finishing up our rhyming unit and starting our Father’s Day surprises. We also planted our snap pea seedlings in Trinity’s Community Garden!
Art: Humpty Dumpty art project, Humpty Dumtpy worksheet, and Father’s Day surprise. We also used pasta to show the life cycle of a butterfly.
Language Arts: The Shortest Kid in the World by Corinne Demas Bliss ( God made everyone different and we are all perfect just the way we are!). We reviewed shapes , colors and learned about opposites with Learning Lane books. We worked on letter recognition with our alphabet chart.
Movement to music: I have ten little fingers, Wheels on the bus, Walking to the ABCs, Rhyme Time and Where is Thumbkin?
Science: Growing and planting snap peas and life cycle of the butterfly.
Math: Counting our friends and flowers.
Reminders:
Our closing program for both nursery classes is scheduled for Monday, June 8th at 9:15 am. Please have your child in class promptly at 9:00 am and then head to the church to secure a seat for the program. After the program, we will continue with our end of year celebration in the YSR ( Youth Senior room) located across from the church entrance and elevator.
Last day of school for the ECC is Friday, June 12.
