This week in our nursery classes, we are continuing to watch our caterpillars eat and eat and eat and get fatter and fatter and fatter!!! We are waiting for them to get sleepy and stay in their chrysalis for about two weeks and then come out as  BEAUTIFUL butterflies. We are expecting Painted Lady Butterflies. We have our butterfly houses all ready for them!

Art: Make a hungry caterpillar with potato stamping,  hand-print X is for X-RAY and hand-print Y is for YAK, Life cycle of a butterfly with pasta.

Jesus Time: Ascension and practicing our closing program songs. We are getting really good at singing them and look forward to performing them for you!

Literature: The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, National Geographic Insects by Robin Bernard and Curious George- Rain or Shine by Erica Zappy.

Language Arts: Alphabet Chart and do-a dot letter sheets- We will begin our Nursery Rhyme unit and work on recognizing rhyming words.

Movement to Music: If I were  a Butterfly, The Butterfly Song, Waling to the ABCs, Walter the Waltzing Worm.

Math: Continue our work with patterns and  number review

Week of May 23- Fire department comes to visit.

June 6th- Closing programs for all classes start at 9:15 am in the chapel. Party to follow in the classrooms.
