This week in the nursery classes we are:
Art: Mrs. Krass’ class is painting butterfly wings to wear when we release our five Painted Lady butterflies on the playground. The students are also making a life cycle of the butterfly project using pasta. We will also paint red on plates to make ladybugs.
Ms. Dugan’s class is stamping with potatoes and completing their hungry caterpillars. The students will also make a life cycle of the butterfly using pasta.
Stories: The Very Hungry Caterpillar , The Very Busy Spider and The Grouchy Ladybug. All three of these books were written and illustrated by Eric Carle. We are also reading Waiting for Wings by Lois Ehlert, Magnificent Monarchs by Linda Glaser and another Eric Carle book called 1 2 3.
Jesus Time: Practice our closing Jesus songs and learn about God’s secret at chapel with Mrs. Fungfeld. Ask your child to share this secret!!!
Movement to Music: The Butterfly Song and What a Miracle.
Math: Number recognition and review.
Science : Life cycle of butterflies.
