Life Science: There will be two quizzes this week. The quiz on 2.1 will be Wednesday 10/5. The quiz on 2.2 will be Friday 10/7. This week in class we will be learning about the characteristics of living things and their necessities of what they need to live. We will begin a project creating a flyer about a living organism.
Living Environment: The quiz on chapter 3 will be on Tuesday 10/4. This week in class we will be learning about climate, succession, niches and biomes. We also will be working on a lab learning about surface tension and how it affects living things. The Unit 2 exam will be on October 25th. The review guide has been posted on the classroom.
Physical Science: The quiz on 2.1 is Thursday 10/6. This week we begin chapter 2 learning about what matter is and its physical properties. We also will be working with graduated cylinders this week learning all about water displacement.
6th Math: This week in class we will be learning how to find the greatest common factor and least common multiple. There will be a quiz next Wednesday on this material.
7th Math: This week in class we will be learning about how to multiply and divide rational numbers. There will be a quiz Thursday 10/6 on rational numbers. The topics on the quiz will be converting rational numbers to decimals and adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing integers. The unit test will be on October 12th. We will begin to review at the end of the week.
