Welcome back! Here is what’s happening this week.
6th Grade Spanish: This week begins Hispanic Heritage month and the students will learn about a Hispanic trailblazer who have paved the way for others who have followed. This week we are continuing our study of words that are similar in Spanish and English and how to say “The” in Spanish for masculine and feminine nouns. They will work on increasing their Spanish vocabulary.
7th Grade Spanish: This week begins Hispanic Heritage month and the we will be doing biographic research on Hispanic trailblazers who have paved the way for others. Students will share their research with the class. Students will learn about converting English words that end in “ty” words into Spanish words by changing the “ty” to “dad”. They will learn the past tense of the Spanish verb “to take” and practice conversation, sentence forming and translation using this verb.
8th Grade Spanish: This week begins Hispanic Heritage month and the we will be doing biographic research on Hispanic trailblazers who have paved the way for others. Students will share their research with the class. Students will learn about converting English words that end in “ry” words into Spanish words by changing the “ry” to “rio”. They will learn the past tense of the Spanish verb “to visit” and “to invite” and practice conversation, sentence forming and translation using this verb.
6th Grade Computer: This week students will be learning about digital art and common features in digital art tools. Student will create a simple art project in Sketchpad.
7th Grade Computer: This week students will be learning about word processing using Google Docs. Students will learn how to create, format, and share a document in Google Docs.
8th Grade Computer: This week students will be introduced to online research, evaluating source reliability and recognizing unreliable sources.
