6th Grade Spanish: This week the students will continue to practice reading, writing and answering questions in Spanish through picture talk and student interview. They will start reading Nuevas Escuela and Nuevos Amigos. Focus words will be hay, quiere, tiene, le dice, esto es, se llama, grande y pequeño using the third-person, present tense.
7th Grade Spanish: This week the students will practice reading, writing and speaking in Spanish through picture talk and chat clip talk. They’ll also read the next chapter of Maria en Miami. Focus words will be hay, es, va, esta, en, quiero/quiere, tengo/tiene, y le dice y ve in third person, present tense.
8th Grade Spanish: This week the students will practice reading, writing and speaking in Spanish through picture talk and chat clip talk. They’ll also read the next chapter of Maria en Miami. Focus words will be habia / hay, era / es, va / fue / fui, estaba / esta) en, quiero/quiere, tengo/tiene, le dice, ve, y pone in first person, 2nd person and third person, present tense and past tense.
6th Grade Computer: This week the students will continue working on their Fan Club newsletter. They are going to write the first article for their newsletter. It must include interesting facts or insights that fans want to know. Information will be organized using a numbered list. A list chunks information so that it is easy for readers to scan quickly.
7th Grade Computer: This week the students will create a plan a music playlist for their restuarant and enter this information into a spreadsheet.
8th Grade Computer: This week the students will take on the role of researchers. They’ll choose a research question, select a sample group, and decide on a method for collecting data for their own survey questionnaire.
