Joke of the week: How do we know that the ocean is friendly?

Language Arts- This week we will review Lesson 27 of our Journey’s series. Our essential question is, What is it like to be the youngest in the family?  We will read, Someone Bigger, One of Three, and Cross Country Trip. As we read the stories we will focus on understanding characters, conclusions and visualizing. We will be learning 6 new sight words: have, one, ask, help, every, walk. We will also review the letter sounds for /l/ and /w/. In grammar, we will discuss subject-verb agreement.

This weeks language arts centers will focus on word families, CVC words, and writing sight words, and reading sentences.

Math- In math we will begin working on Chapter 12- Classify and Sort Data

Math Centers- This weeks math centers will involve shapes and review of this past year!

Jesus Time- We will continue to read our Children’s Beginner Bible Stories, we love reading this book! After each story the children look forward to watching a video pertaining to the story we read and connecting what we read to the video!

Science: This week we will be discussing helmet safety and ocean animals.
