I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Joke of the Week: Why did the student eat his homework?

Song of the Week- This weeks song is “Yes He Can” by CAIN.

Language Arts- We are continuing to review the letters of the alphabet. This week we are working on letters N-R. To learn and review the letters we are identifying them, writing, singing, and watching videos; all of these things will help us reinforce what we are learning! Each day we open with identifying letters, their sounds, rhyming words, and syllables.

Our third sight word we are learning is “it”. We will learn how to say it, spell it, and most importantly identify it throughout sentences, stories, and sentences we make. We will also review our previous two sight words, I, go & can.

We will continue to discuss the concepts of print, how to identify the front and back cover of a book. We will continue to identify the first sound in words and we will listen to Ms. Vollono and determine how many words are in a sentence. We will also continue to identify the difference between numbers and letters.

Math- We will begin Module 2 in our “Into Math” curriculum. This weeks module is “Represent Number to 5 with a Written Numeral”. Each night we will have math homework to practice what we learned that day!

Jesus Time- We are diving into Ms. Vollono’s children’s Bible and reading such fun stories, completing crafts, activities, and watching videos to enjoy the stories! This week we will read about Noah’s Ark and the promise rainbow.

Science/Emotions- This week we will log onto Mystery Science and learn about camouflage. We will look at animals and how they blend into their surroundings. We will look at pictures and try to find the camouflaged animal.

Social Studies: We will discuss community helpers and where we would see them throughout our communities.

Excited for another great week!
