I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather! We have another exciting week of Kindergarten ahead!

Joke of the Week: Why are fish so smart?

Language Arts-

We are continuing to review letters in our Journeys Language Arts book. Each day we focus on one letter, we identify it, repeat its sound(s), trace it, write it, and watch a fun video! This week we will review letters Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii, and Jj. We will also continue to match letter sounds to its proper letters, and determine rhyming words by reading Dr. Seuss books, engaging in rhyming videos, and sharing rhymes we come up with!

Math- We will begin our first chapter in our GoMath books- Chapter 1 Represent, Count, and Write Numbers 0-5; together we will show what we know and re-learn numbers 0 through 5. We will count, write, and create ten pens using numbers 0-5.

Jesus Time- We are diving into Ms. Vollono’s children’s Bible and reading such fun stories, completing crafts, activities, and watching videos to enjoy the stories! This week we will be reading Noah’s Ark; we will recall the story by coloring pictures and putting them into sequence order, as well as counting animals, writing the number, and creating our own ten pens using the numbers we count.

As we continue in September we will discuss words that come to mind when we think of September. We will also complete a fun Scholastic that teaches us how apples start on tree, then end up in our homes!

Can’t wait for another great week!
